For our first assignment of the year we've had to produce a play, my group consists of me, Michael and Arvydas. We've all been writing scripts to go with the play, thought i'd post a little teaser of whats to come!

Chapter 1

Jamie and Jim have just met in the corridor of their flat for the first time at Platt Hall

Jamie: ‘Too much effort carrying all this stuff up this stairs mate!’

Jim: ‘Tell me about it! My names James by the way but all my friends call me Jim.’

Jamie: ‘Well that’s lucky because my names Jamie and it would be too similar otherwise! Where you from dude?’

Jim: ‘Essex mate how about you? And what are you studying?’

Jamie: ‘I thought you were! I’m from Winchester in Hampshire and I’m studying marketing’

Jim: ‘Can’t say I’ve heard of it to be honest, oh that’s cool so am I, do you know what the first thing is you have to do in order to pass first year marketing?’

Jamie: ‘No, what’s that?’

Jim: ‘Prove yourself a really talented drinker.’

Jamie: ‘Challenge accepted mate! My girlfriend’s here in halls as well, I’ll invite her over, she should’ve finished unpacking by now.’

Jim: ‘That’s crazy; you know what they say about relationships at university?’

Jamie: ‘No, what’s that?’

Jim: ‘Urmm... Well actually it doesn’t matter. Let’s get wasted!’

Jamie’s girlfriend Jess knocks on the flat door

Jamie: ‘Jim I’d like you to meet my girlfriend, Jess. Jess this is Jim, my new flat mate.’

Jim: ‘Pleasure to meet you Jess’

Jess: ‘Likewise I can’t believe University is finally here!’

End of scene – The three characters sit round the table drinking and talking
